Let’s unpack it!

In this longer (yet VERY educational) video we see the collaboration of the backstage crew first-hand in this homey sort of vlogging style. It features how every crew members sets their system up and what their responsibilities are. The members also feature tips and tricks when doing certain tasks, such as putting a microphone on an actor, or how to ensure everything is show-ready. It also highlights the leadership role of the stage manager, overseeing every aspect of the production and maintaining the flow of the show.

Now from an actors perspective, let’s take a look at an interview I personally conducted with a friend of mine. Kaylee Cieri, a Castle High School senior happens to be President of Thespian Troupe 566, the very same troupe I was a part of and inducted into during high school. Kaylee is a triple threat, with her credentials being both an actor on stage, stage manager, and part of the creative team in choreography. At the beginning of this interview, Kaylee talks about how different driving forces in this community support her in her motivations and have helped her develop new skills and literacies overtime. Without all of these people working together to tell these stories, none of this would be possible!

How to all of these people work together?
